Mark 1045, Inc was founded in January of 2003 by Mark Eystad.  Having worked for other consulting companies, he wanted to start a company which achieved amazing results, yet followed the ‘Golden Rule’: treat people like he, himself, would like to be treated back in the years he spent managing operations.

His vision for Mark 1045, Inc is to build valuable long-term relationships, which are the key to its success.  He wanted to be able to show you can add value while maintaining the time honored traditions of integrity, trust, honesty, service, common sense, and work ethic.

Mark’s personal style is not to sit behind the desk, but to get out on the plant floor, observe, learn your business, and ask the tough questions. This philosophy permeates Mark 1045, Inc.  He believes relationships, built on service to the customer, are key to the future of Mark 1045, Inc.

Mark’s work ethic and willingness to do whatever has to be done to succeed was gained at an early age.  His working career began at age 14, cutting carpet during his summer vacation.  In high school, he got his first ‘real job’, at a local car wash.  He then worked his way through the first half of college by cleaning septic tanks.  Mark’s passion for manufacturing started when he worked in a millwork factory his last half of college.  Graduating in 1990 with a BS degree from University of Wisconsin-Stout in Industrial Technology, he put that degree to work, and now has over 2 decades of experience in Manufacturing, Distribution and Supply Chain Management.  Mark has served as an Assistant Plant Manager and later Transportation Manager for a major building material manufacturer in the Midwest; a Production Manager at two successive packaging, distribution and export facilities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Upon entering the field of management consulting, his leadership skills lead him to managing teams of consultants in multi-facility projects. These engagements have saved his clients tens of millions dollars.

Each of these positions taught him valuable lessons, strengthening his ability to deliver results.  Now, even as leader of his own company, it is not unusual to find him at client sites at all times of the day & night, sleeves rolled up mentoring his associates while looking for hidden value for the client.

Mark has served in the millwork, steel roll forming, sheet metal fabrication, pet food manufacturing, can extruding, fiberglass manufacturing, screw machining, and CNC milling industries.  Most recently in food processing, specifically beef, turkey , dry sausage and poultry processing, he has worked at over 45 processing facilities across the United States, and Puerto Rico. All totaled, Mark his well into his second decade in the management consulting business. He has worked with numerous Fortune 100 companies. Mark has lead Cost Savings, Process Improvement, Capacity Utilization, Product Rationalization, Business Process Re-engineering and Sales & Operations Planning engagements.

On any given Sunday he and his wife attend one of North Point Ministries’ Atlanta area churches and has been involved in NPCC’s community groups.

Mark and his wife, Sally live in Marietta, Georgia with their 2 dogs, Lambeau and Lombardi. Sally has learned to love Mark’s favorite question, “Why?”

The company name comes from the gospel of Mark, a verse that stands as the primary ethic for the company. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” – Mark 10:45 (New International Version)
